Three weeks at Intermediae / Matadero Madrid

 

Curators' Network: complete program of the Madrid event

 

Between June 27 and July 14, 2013 Curators' Network will celebrate a three week long event at Intermediae, Matadero Madrid. The theme chosen for this occasion, “Let us be known; let us be seen, and let us shine”, reflects on the experience generated during the first three years of the network. The multiple activities aim building a bridge between our past and future projects. The event is a joint project of the partners of the network and is organized by hablarenarte:

Calendar of public events:

> Presentation of the Matadero Archives 
Thursday, June 27, 19 h. 
The new location of "Archivo Matadero" in the Intermediae space will be presented. Those attending will also find an exhibition with the four archives it holds.

> Exhibition: "Impossibility vs. Self-Censorship"
Opening: Thursday, June 27, 20 h.
What makes an artwork, a project or an exhibition impossible? What drives an artist to censor his/her own artwork and to hold back an idea without any pressure from the outside? What are the justifications and risks behind?
Curators: Anca Mihulet (RO) and Borbála Szalai (HU). Visual concept by invited artist Radu Cioca (RO).

Zine Spaces is an artzine project extended by a workshop and a participative event called "Table in the Space".
