Antonio Grulli

Independent Curator

Antonio Grulli (Independent Curator)
Antonio Grulli (La Spezia, 1979) is an independent curator and art critic living in Bologna. He is part of the Viafarini (one of the most important not-profit spaces in Italy – viafarini.org) curatorial board. Recently, he has focused his research on art criticism and curating as an authorial language through projects mainly based on round tables, lectures and dialogues, held in private and public institutions: among them, Sentimiento Nuevo at MAMbo (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Bologna), a year-long series of events entirely devoted to the reflection on art criticism in Italy today, getting all the main new generation Italian critics involved. He also enjoys producing informal projects in non-institutional places such as bars. He is a contributor to "Flash Art" and "Mousse Magazine", amongst others. He loves painting and is presently curating, together with the artist Paolo Chiasera, a show which will only exist on “canvas” and will be presented in June 2013 at "Momentum", the Nordic region Biennial in Moss (NO).
