Synecdoche (Started 2011)

by Carlos Irijalba

Synecdoche Project, deals with the loss of the World as a field, as a distance, as matter. It involves 1:1 scale installations and intersections between extraurban (suburban) elements such as electricity pylons, towers or bilboards and urban architecture, as if two topographic maps would put on top one another. A crossing between those two distant elements relating the public space and the exhibition space, dimension and human scale. A relation between structure and place, individual and phisical public environment.
