Alfredo Morte: Project

CETUS 2.0

(…) This project is to construct a space from recycled furniture (…) The entire construction will be painted strictly white in order to transform (…) Each corner with drawers and doors will house small, motorized mechanisms that vibrate and clatter against objects, generating a constant murmur, equal to that of the ocean outside of the whale. Each ingenuitive sound calls out to the visitor from its hidden abode so that they might discover its origin by opening the drawer or door which obscures it. All sounds will be sequenced by means of a cam programmer so that the sounds alternate within the space, ending in unison with a thunderous vibration at any given moment. (…)
