Art Fiction

by Manuela Pedrón Nicolau & Jaime González Cela

Art Ficition reflects research in the field of contemporary art in terms of somewhat unconvetional parameters: those of science fiction, a genre that takes scientific premises and possible human futures as the basis for its explorations of the fears and desires of present-day society. Albeit in apparently different forms, visual artists have often investigated in this direction, and this exhibition brings together a selection of works that stand out for their ability to evoke different realities.

Artists: Aernout Mik, Andreas Slominski, Ante Timmermans, Elena Alonso, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Jorge Barbi, Juan Ugalde, Nicolás Combarro, Rogelio López Cuenca and Thomas Schütte.
