Comissioned Artist for the MiA 2013:Prize for Women with Immigration Background

The main concept for the production of the MiA Preis 2013 was the translation of the 6 prize categories into Greek language and the exploration of their cross-cultural references. The 6 words -ΑΘΛΗΣΙΣ/ ΓΝΩΣΗ /ΕΠΙΣΤΗΜΗ /ΚΟΙΝΩΝΙΑ /ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΙΑ/ΤΕΧΝΗ- are all of female gender in Greek and they are used both in their everyday practical meaning but also as philosophical or even metaphorical concepts connected to the overall perception of the world. Through each specific word I developed a unique abstract motif that operates as its visual interpretation, connected to the specific domain of each of the prize winners.
