Underwater is a video installation about the Babylonian myth of sea goddess Tiamat who is killed by Sungod Marduk to create the world out of her corpse.
Reptiles, aquatic animals and particularly snakes represent the prototype of the evil monster. In dragon fight mythologies they symbolize a domain of chaotic irrationality and the subconscious that needs to be opressed and overcome usually by a male hero. Nevertheless are the "dragon powers" appropriated by the victorious heros to establish and rule their empires.
