Núria Gómez Gabriel

Núria Gómez Gabriel holds a Doctorate in Communications from the University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Her professional work traverses critical pedagogy, writing, and art curatorship. In general terms her research centres itself upon how imaginaries of power are constructed and the relations they maintain with how technologies materialize memory. She teaches in the Master’s Program at The University of Visual Cultures of ESCAC and in the Degree Program of Art & Design at the Autonomous University in Barcelona. She is the co-author of the book Love me, Tinder (Temas de hoy, 2019). She has also been published in diverse cultural spaces such as the CCCBLAB, Investigation & Innovation in Culture; A*Desk Critical Thinking or TEATRON. She has collaborated as a cultural investigator in institutions including the CCCB, MACBA, Fabra i Coats, Arts Santa Mònica, Hangar, Tabakalera, Centro de Arte dos de Mayo, La Casa Encendida, and also amongst others, in festivals such as FEMTEK Prácticas Artísticas Contemporáneas, Feminismos y tecnología, Festival de Literatura Amplificada Kosmopolis and The International Festival of Video Art ‘LOOP’ in Barcelona.
