After studying cultural science and art history, Elodie Evers completed the extra occupational course Cultures of the Curatorial at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig. Before becoming a curator at the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf in 2009, she worked in the curatorial office at the at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin and realised as a freelance curator the transcultural exchange project SICE in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Her curatorial activities include exhibitions with Yüksel Arslan; Peter Land; Matt Connors; Chris Martin; Joao Maria Gusmao & Pedro Paiva; Hans-Peter Feldmann as well as the thematic group shows "Anton Voyls Fortgang" (with Guy de Cointet, Channa Horwitz and Henri Chopin), "First we make the rules, then we break the rules" (with Simon Evans und Öyvind Fahlström), "Spaces of Remembrance" (with Kader Attia, Mircea Cantor, Dominique Gonzales-Foerster, Cyprien Gaillard, Anri Sala, Tatiana Trouvé) and "Real Presences" (with Marcel Broodthaers, Tacita Dean, Cerith Wyn Evans, Stephen Prina, Hernik Olesen, Kirsten Pieroth, Susanne M. Winterling).
