Carolina Olmedo Carrasco

Art historian / Art critic / Researcher (Santiago de Chile / Madrid)

Carolina Olmedo Carrasco is a Chilean art historian, writer and researcher in contemporary art based in Santiago. She studied art in the School of Fine Arts at the (P) Catholic University of Chile, and is PHD candidate in Latin American Cultural Studies at the University of Chile.
She obtained the National Doctoral Scholarship of the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research of Chile - CONICYT (2013-2017), and the Residence Fellowship for Latin American Researchers in Cultural Heritage, Fundación Endesa, Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid (2014-2015).
She recently has curated the exhibition "Hasta las masas: 10 años de revolución estudiantil" (Santiago: Sala Juan Egenau, 2016), and collaborated as editor in the publication "Escenas Locales: ficción, historia y política en la gestión de arte contemporáneo" (Córdoba, Argentina: Curatoría Forense, 2015), the last book of the chilean curator and art critic Justo Pastor Mellado.
